ABOUT:
Warren County SWCD Board of Supervisors is offering grants of up to $1000 each to high schools within Warren County, Ohio to assist in eliminating financial barriers to participation in the Area IV Envirothon. Grant funds can be used to cover or offset the cost of study materials/supplies, transportation costs, and stipends for team advisors.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
In order to qualify for funding, the team’s advisor must declare intent to participate and compete in the Area IV Envirothon.  Failure to enter a team at the event will result in forfeiture of the grant funds.

Grants are made in the form of check payments directly to the participating high school. Should this form of payment prove unrealistic based on budgetary and financial policies of the school district, please contact our offices at (513) 695-1337 to discuss other possible support arrangements.

REPORTING:
After the Area IV Envirothon event, a final report must be submitted within 60 days. The report should include a brief narrative of the school/team(s)' participation in Envirothon and a report outlining grant spending.

TO APPLY:
Email a completed application to Melissa Proffitt, Education and Communications Specialist, at [email protected].
