Southwest ohio & Northern  Kentucky
Erosion control & Stormwater field DayPlan on joining us aboard a river boat to learn how developers and contractors can meet sediment erosion control and storm water BMP requirements that protect local waterways. This day-long workshop will begin on land with demonstrations of BMPs led by experts eager to answer questions and share their knowledge. Attendees will then board the Belle of Cincinnati River Boat for lunch and speaker sessions about industry regulations and trends. CEUs will be offered.

                            Speaker: Seth Brown, Director of Stormwater Programs, Water Environment Federation (WEF)

Seth Brown is the Director of Stormwater Programs for the Water Environment Federation (WEF).  In this role, Seth provides support on technical and policy issues related to stormwater management and wet weather dynamics.  Mr. Brown also leads the WEF Stormwater Institute, which is a center of excellence focusing on stormwater-related topics that drives policy and sector research as well as developing and delivering technical and programmatic tools and documents for the benefit of stormwater professionals.  In addition, Seth is the staff liaison from WEF to the National Municipal Stormwater Alliance (NMSA), which is an independent 501.c(3) that is focused on issues relevant to MS4 programs across the country.  He has 20 years in the private sector, has a B.S. and an M.S. in civil engineering, and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Maryland.  He is currently a PhD candidate at George Mason University, and his research focuses on economic modeling of incentive-based investments of green stormwater infrastructure on private properties.
