Who we are...what we do...
Warren County SWCD is an independent political subdivision of state government organized along county boundaries providing technical assistance to urban and rural land users. An elected board of local citizens provides SWCD leadership through three-year terms. The supervisors are responsible for developing both the Annual Plan of Work and the Long-Range Plan. They also provide the general oversight of operations and budget.
Warren County SWCD currently employs 8 staff members who work hard every day to address the natural resource concerns in Warren County.
Warren County SWCD has 4 goals derived from our mission statement:
1. Protect the Soil Resource Base
2. Protect Water Quality
3. Advance Conservation Education
4. Conduct Administration Conscientiously
Generally, we work to protect the WATER and SOIL of Warren County! And as we begin work on planning our conservation strategies over the next several years, we need support and feedback from YOU!
With the help of this community input, partnership collaboration and Warren County Commissioner support, the board supervisors will form the 2020 Long-Range Plan. The results of this survey will serve as a foundation for plan development. We ask you to take a few moments and answer these survey questions.
